Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children 2017-2018


The High Commission of India invites applications for the Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) Scheme 2017-18 for Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Overseas Citizenship of India (OCIs)/ Non-resident Indian nationals (N R Is).

 

The Government of Indian has launched the SP DC Scheme to assist Diaspora Children in pursuing Under Graduate courses in India's Universities/ Institutes covered under the Scheme.

 

The Scheme provides partial financial assistance to the extent of 75% of the total institutional economic cost or to a maximum of US$4,000 per annum in the first year. For the second and subsequent years details regarding continuation of the scholarship are described in the scheme's guidelines available online at http://spdcindia.qov.in/loqin/quideline.php.

 

Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 21 years and possess a minimum of 60% aggregated marks at qualifying examinations at 12th standard (CAPE, A levels, GCE). They are required to provide documentary evidence towards proof of Indian nationality or Indian origin when applying. Those who cannot submit documentary evidence of Indian Origin are required to submit a declaration of Indian origin.
