NOTICE OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The High Commission of India would like to invite applications from nationals of Guyana for scholarships offered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India for the academic year 2016-2017 under the following programmes:
1. Commonwealth Scholarship Plan
- Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, M.Phil/Ph.D and Post-Doctoral Research Courses are being offered under this Plan (except in Medical, Paramedical, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia, etc. studies or fashion courses). Scholarships are available under this programme with return international airfare, tuition fees, stipend, house rent allowance, contingent grant and thesis/dissertation expenses for Ph.D studies.
2. Cultural Exchange Programme/Education Exchange Programme
- Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, M.Phil/Ph.D and Post-Doctoral Research Courses are being offered under this Programme (except in Medical, Paramedical, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia, etc. studies or fashion courses). Two scholarships are available under this programme with tuition fees, stipend, house rent allowance, contingent grant and thesis/dissertation expenses for Ph.D studies. This Programme does not include return international airfare.
Applicants must ensure that specific certified copies of documents showing specific qualifications required for the course of choice (such as GMAT scores for admission in MBA & TOEFL/IELTS scores for English course etc.) are also attached. The requirements can be checked from the UGC website, www.ugc.ac.in or from the website of the university/institution concerned. The list of universities where ICCR scholars are studying is also available in the ICCR Website at www.iccr.gov.in.
Interested persons can download the application form, instructions/guidelines and list of universities from Mission's website, www.hcigeorgetown.org. Last date for submission of applications to the Mission is Monday, 14th December, 2015.The applications may be delivered to:
